Payment Settings
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for configuring payment settings within Bookified. It covers currency settings, price formatting, payment timing and options, and activating different payment methods such as cash payments, gift card payments, and online credit card payments. By customizing these settings, businesses can tailor their pricing and payment processes to meet their operational requirements and enhance the overall booking experience, providing flexibility and convenience for customers.
- Navigate to ‘Settings‘, then select ‘Payment Settings‘.
General Tab
- The ‘General Tab‘ section allows you to configure various options related to payment process based on your business needs.
1. Currency Settings: Users can select their preferred currency, customize how the currency symbol appears, and choose the desired currency format.
2. Price Number Format: This feature allows users to set how price numbers are formatted and determine the number of decimals displayed in prices.
3. Payment Waiting Period: Users can specify how long to wait for payment. There’s also an option for customers to pay the full amount upfront.
4. Payment Booking Status: Users can define what constitutes a successful or failed payment booking status.
5. Additional Option: There’s a toggle switch that allows users to hide or display the notification that ‘Price does not include taxes‘ on the services step of the ‘Booking Panel‘.
Payment Methods
- The ‘Payment methods‘ section provides a variety of payment methods to ensure a seamless transaction experience for both businesses and customers.
1. Local Payments: This option allows customers to pay directly at the business premises. It’s a traditional and straightforward method where the transaction is completed in person. This is ideal for customers who prefer to make payments during their visit.
2. Gift Cards: Businesses can enable this option to accept gift cards as a form of payment. This provides customers with a flexible and convenient way to pay for their appointments, especially when they want to use pre-purchased gift cards or are looking to gift services to others. 3. Square: For customers who prefer online transactions, we have integrated Square, a secure and trusted online payment platform. With Square, customers can make payments for their appointments via the ‘Booking Panel‘ or ‘Customer Panel‘. This ensures a smooth, secure, and efficient online payment process. Completing Square Registration: Ensure all steps outlined by Square are followed accurately to successfully create and link your Square account. This is crucial for securely processing and receiving online credit card payments.
