Group Appointments

This guide provides information on how to effectively set up and manage group appointments. It highlights the importance of customizable participant limits and the benefits of offering group appointments for businesses. The guide also explains how to configure service settings for group appointments and utilize the “Bring People With You” option.

What are Group Appointments?

  • Group appointments are a convenient and efficient scheduling method that allows a specific service to be booked multiple times within a single time slot. This approach is customizable and can be tailored to meet the unique needs of your business. By setting a specific value, you can control the number of bookings allowed per time slot, ensuring that your services are utilized effectively. Whether you’re managing a fitness class, a workshop, or a consultation service, group appointments can streamline your scheduling process and maximize your service delivery.

Enable Group Appointments (Multiple Appointments per Single Time Slot)

  • Navigate to the ‘Services’ menu and select the ‘pencil icon’ beside the service you would like to enable group appointments.

1. Set the ‘Capacity‘ field to ‘Group‘.

2. Set the ‘Max. Capacity’ according to your business requirements. The value of ‘Max. Capacity’ determines the number of times a time slot can be booked.

3. The ‘Bring people with you’ option allows a single customer to indicate if they are bringing additional people to the appointment. This will occupy the available time slots based on the ‘Max. Capacity’ value.

Let’s See It in Action

We have set the ‘Max. Capacity’ to 5. As you can observe in the booking panel, the maximum value we could set for ‘Bring people with you’ was 4. This is because the customer who is booking the appointment occupies the 5th slot.
